Now in its 21st year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month October 2024 is highlighting the growing importance of cybersecurity in our daily lives and encouraging individuals and industries to take important industrial cybersecurity steps to keep plants safe and control systems secure. Empowering more secure, interconnected industrial plants.
September 7th, 2024 — WisePlant Group LLC & WiseCourses LLC today announced its commitment to cybersecurity education by participating in the 20th Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Founded in 2004, Cybersecurity Awareness Month, held each October, is the world’s foremost initiative aimed at promoting cybersecurity awareness and best practices. Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaborative effort among businesses, government agencies, colleges and universities, associations, nonprofit organizations, tribal communities, and individuals committed to educating others on online safety.
Our “Smart, Safe & Secure” slogan reflects our primary directive and commitment to industrial safety and security.
From small to large highly automated plants, technology is deeply intertwined with our lives. And while the evolution of technology accelerates, cybercriminals are working just as hard to find ways to compromise technology and disrupt personal, business, and industries. For 20 Octobers and counting, Cybersecurity Awareness Month aims to highlight some of the emerging challenges that exist in the world of cybersecurity today and provide straightforward actionable guidance that anyone can follow to create a safe and secure industrial digital world.
We are running this campaign and providing several promotions with important discounts to encourage everyone to get involved, get professional training and act with professional services to secure and protect what really matters.
Starting this year, the new theme of Cybersecurity Awareness Month is Secure Our World, with the main messaging revolving around four key cybersecurity best practices:
- Understanding the benefits of industrial cybersecurity risk assessment.
- Secure by Design for influencing the design of the system and plant to mitigate risk.
- Assisting in the safe and secure operation of the plant.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance to meet cybersecurity requirements.
This campaign ends in October 31st, and it is available only for eligible courses and professional services with the “Secure Our World” banner.
Cybersecurity Awareness Month continue to build momentum and impact with the goal of providing everyone with the information they need to stay safer and more secure. WisePlant & WiseCourses are proud to support this far-reaching online safety awareness and education initiative.
